Listen: Perception is reality

How many of you have ever had a entire conversation with someone without realizing you were talking about two different things? Maybe you assumed you knew what the other person was talking about, and turned out to be wrong. Or vice versa.

How does this kind of thing happen? Well, if you’ve ever heard this quote from playwright George Bernard Shaw, you know – “The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has taken place.”

Stop assuming that your getting your message across. I have tips and tricks for closing the gap between what you say and what the other person hears. Because when it comes down to it, perception is reality. It doesn’t matter what you say, what matters is what they hear.
